Cards
Still getting a feel for the 50mm lens. Here are some Christmas cards hanging around at my parents' house.

Reflected Lights
The tree was all decorated for the Christmas Eve party. The reflection of the lights from the tree added a nice touch.

Holiday Arch
Found this down one of the side streets near my house. Looks like a nice place to sit and watch the snow fall.

Snowy Light
Found this lamp right near my apartment. With the snowfall that you can only barely see, it seemed like a scene out of Narnia...but you know, with a house right next to the lamp post.

Fire and Ice
Snowbird in Salt Lake City, UT. It's getting slammed with snow right now, yesterday they had 40" in 24 hours.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

A glass of red and some delicious snacks. I should also stop posting around lunch time.

Soup
A friend had this at the Magnolia Deli & Cafe on Park Ave. in Rochester. It was delicious, according to first hand accounts.

Rex
Inside the RMSC gift shop, hanging from the ceiling, was this T-Rex. Pretty sizable, and I would assume if you stop in they would be more than happy to sell you the kit to make one yourself.

Beady Little Eye
Saw a bunch of these in the Rochester Museum and Science Center gift shop. The display rack was out in the hall, and everyone seemed to be fascinated with them.

Walled in
If the museum really wanted to keep out the riff-raff, they shouldn't make the tickets so cheap. They should probably get a taller wall, too.

Stone set in the ground at the entry to the herb garden at the Rochester Museum and Science center

Light Leaves
Took a trip over to the Rochester Museum and Science Center for the Titanic exhibit. I toted the camera along even though I was sure I couldn't use it much inside the museum. There were some interesting things outside though, which made it worthwhile.

Letchworth
Trail 1, Letchworth State Park, NY. It was a great day for a hike, and I was glad to have my camera with me.

Bulb
You don't really see the filament in light bulbs very often these days. LED lights are nice, but generally not nearly as interesting.

Caught
Found this walking along a chain link fence. It certainly won't make it out of the yard, and it is very secure.

Sand
I really liked the way the sand sparkled in the moonlight. This is a nice long exposure shot from the Outer Banks, NC, in Corolla

Stem
More Japanese Lilacs. Focusing on what normally is ignored sometimes makes for a more interesting subject.

Japanese Lilacs
Found some Japanese Lilac bushes while walking around a suburban neighborhood in Rochester.

Unattached
At one point, this screw was probably holding something together. Now it sits, penetrating but without use.

Wooden
It's getting a little cooler out, which means that it is time to start breaking out the firewood.

Reaching
Didn't quite get the depth of focus exactly as I would have liked in this one, but I love the light and the way the flower seems to be reaching out of some dark place.

Fall Out The Window
This was the view from my apartment over the weekend. The colors change so quickly, then they're gone in a heartbeat.

Road Marker
When you are stuck in traffic, sometimes you can get a chance to take a picture of things that you normally just sail right by.

Knobs
The light bounced from the window off the guitar and onto the amplifier. It made some great orange and white banding on the faceplate, which is kind of washed out because of the depth of focus.

Cabin Light
Fitting for the season, it's a webbed up light above a cabin entry way. Bring in the fake blood and film the creepy horror scene!

Empty
Sand, waves crashing, warm breeze, seems like a great place to sit and contemplate whatever is on your mind.
